Illness or disease is a manifestation of disharmony and discord in the flow of chi through these circuit systems. The ancient Taoists understood that the body had rivers or pathways of energy that run through our organ systems and our body. This enabled tuning forks, chimes and gongs- tuned to the frequency of the cosmos to be created that would give people the ability to hear and attune to the tones of our universe and to receive the energetic vibration of the planetary signatures. In the 20th century, Hans Cousto translated the planetary velocities (that came to us through Johannes Kepler) into musical tone and frequency and in a scale (using the law of the octave) that is audible to the human hearing. The concept of these heavenly harmonies became known in Western culture asĮverything in the Universe vibrates, from the smallest particle, to the planets in our solar system, to the billions of stars in the Milky Way Galaxy, creating patterns of geometric waveforms, frequencies, musical intervals, and sounds.
Pythagoras devised the doctrine of ‘Musica Universalis’, which holds that the planets move according to mathematical equations and thus resonate to produce an inaudible symphony of music. In the 6th century BCE Pythagoras recognized that sounds are subject to mathematical laws and proportions, and were the very foundation of the Universe.
